Dog Boarding

Our Facility

Sitting on 43 acres in Yampa, Colorado, our facility consists of 2 buildings containing 46 individual kennels of various sizes. Each kennel contains heated cement floors and has a sliding door that is left open throughout the day (when weather permits) so that they can be in either their inside or outside runs in between scheduled exercises.

Our family lives here on the property and we take pride in the fact that we are always on site and can immediately handle any situation that may rise.

Swims (Seasonal) – $20 Per Dog Per Swim

During the summer we have a couple of ponds on our property where the dogs have the option to go for a swim! We always bring a tennis ball with us, and make it so much fun for them!

Play Time – $15 Per Dog Per Playtime

In addition to their included three 20 minute play times per day, you can sign your pup(s) up for an extra play time in the yard!

How We Operate

Each day, the dogs get three 20 minute private play times in the yards. Here at Rocky Mountain Pet Resort, we do not intermingle our dogs during these play times in order for each dog to have their own personalized experience with us. They get to socialize with us, play ball, and get all the belly rubs a dog could ask for. This also allows us to board ANY dog. Whether they are still intact, a young puppy, a high needs senior dog, extremely shy, or don’t get along with other dogs, we have the capability to give them the best care.

We also specialize in caring for K9 police dogs, Search & Rescue dogs, and service dogs from all over Colorado. Knowing they have important, specialized needs, we are able to accomodate their care at our facility.

Our day to day operation begins with a thorough cleaning of the kennels, both inside and outside, and letting the dogs exercise. After breakfast, we begin our walks, swims, extra play times, and baths for any of the dogs that have been signed up for these activities. Around noon, we begin our afternoon rounds of play time and get all the snuggles we can. Towards evening, we serve dinner, then we exercise the dogs once more. With our daily routine and adequate exercise throughout the day, the pups fall sound asleep.

Baths

Before going home, you have the option to sign your dog up for bath and/or a nail trim. We also offer de-skunk baths and de-shedding services for your convenience.

If you would like to schedule a bath for your dog during the week, give us a call to check our availability!
